Lucy Billingsley has made a name for herself through real estate, developing and managing commercial developments. A pioneer back in the late 70’s, she gave Dallas a unique perspective in the industry by co-founding Billingsley Company with her husband and adding art to the building business. Among her most recognized real estate development diamonds are the Austin Ranch, Cypress Waters and the Arts Plaza campus in the Dallas Arts District.
As a serious award-winner innovator and entrepreneur, Lucy quickly progressed into her next passion: the nonprofit world. Committed to making a difference besides in the urban space, Lucy got involved with several global entrepreneurship organizations that facilitate financial help and business education for communities in third world and war-torn countries. She enjoys inspiring, serving and advising younger generations proving that there’s no cap to the skill set that one can collect.
Today as a grandmother of eight, Lucy doesn’t see a reason for slowing down. She stays active at the Tower Center at SMU and Council of Foreign Relations.
