DR HUGHES: "You see a very advanced sense of self, so there’s something deeper and broader about children coming from Montessori backgrounds."

DR. HUGHES: "She got it right in things that we’re only now discovering. She was a remarkable human being. I could say that she is probably the greatest developmental genius in human history. It sounds grandiose but that is just so."

DR HUGHES: "They have well developed self-regulatory capabilities, which are really important predictors of performance in life. I think one of the most important outcomes is that they aren’t tired of learning. They haven’t had an experience that has made them weary of school."
